THE LAW SOCIETY OF SINGAPORE

WHO ARE WE?

The Law Society was established under the Legal Profession Act in 1967 and strives to maintain and improve standards of conduct as well as learning and development for the legal profession in Singapore. The mission of the Law Society is to serve its members and the public by sustaining an independent bar which upholds the rule of law and ensures access to justice. As part of its mission to ensure access to justice for the needy, the Law Society established a Pro Bono Services Office on 1 April 2017. The Society also champions for legal professionals and law firms to harness technology advances to boost efficiencies and forge overseas business collaboration.

Global trading opportunities can help your company improve revenues and profits, open up new markets and improve market share. While expansion is pivotal to your business’s success, there are legal issues to consider when venturing into new territories. Therefore, having a competent and efficient legal partner with the right knowledge and resources will make a positive difference.
